Mute

Every player should have at least one mute for their instrument. Great for performances and practice – a violin, viola, or cello mute makes for a stocking-sized gift that the string player in your life can use for years to come. For string players looking to keep their instrument safe and comfortable no matter what the weather may be – a hygrometer can be the perfect gift. Available both as a stand-alone device (very stocking-sized) and as a built-in feature of certain instrument cases (less stocking-sized), hygrometers are instruments capable of gauging the humidity levels.

Music Stand

Every string player – from the elementary schooler who's just begun to the concert musician who's been playing for decades – should have a music stand. Who doesn't love those magical little pieces of amber colored resin that help our instruments sing? A brand new rosin can be appreciated by every string player – no matter what instrument they play.
