Bridge violins use an encapsulated pickup system integrated into the bridge, utilizing all the advantages of a traditional bridge and capturing the warmth of tone synonymous with their acoustic counterparts. The Lyra is Inspired by the Stradivarius 1710 Viola da Gamba; the neck, with distinctive Bridge shield and through peg box, is carved from a single maple block. This is a true 5 string with a longer peg box, configured to accommodate the extra peg.

The ebony fingerboard, nut, and maple neck are professionally shaped and traditionally finished. The body is hollow; formed from a Kevlar and carbon-fiber composite. This gives the Lyra a high strength to weight ratio, immense durability, and a natural resonance. The instrument is fitted with a light-weight tailpiece with fine tuners and an ebony, Dresden-style chinrest. High quality ebony pegs are professionally fitted to give positive grip with ease of movement. The Lyra is supplied with quality Pirastro Tonica strings, although any strings can be used.

The Lyra also features convenient volume and tone tilt controls situated for easy adjustment. A 1/4 inch jack socket is carefully positioned and angled to avoid grad and interference from the cable. The angle and proportions are compatible with all common wireless solutions. A 3v coin cell battery is also located on the underside of the instrument. This simple and readily available battery can provide 1000 hours of playing time and only drains while the jack is plugged in.

The Lyra comes with a carbon fiber bow and a protective carrying case.

- 1 Violin/Viola & up to 4 bows: $30
- 2 Violins/Violas & up to 4 bows: $45
- 1 Cello & up to 4 bows: $75 for cellos
