We have heard many students are unable to play due to loose or broken strings, so we are launching a free, while-you-wait curbside service to tune instruments at our 3 locations. There will be no charge, but we are requesting charitable donations for the Harry Chapin Food Bank to help feed the needy.
Here’s how it will work:
1. Email the shop you want to visit and give us a telephone number. We will call you to set up an appointment.
8 Elm Street, Huntington, NY 11743 Music@liviolinshop.com
23 West Main Street, Smithtown NY 11787 Alexander@liviolinshop.com
250 Main Street, East Setauket NY 11733 Monica@liviolinshop.com
2. Notify us when you arrive. A team member wearing mask and gloves will come to your car to pick up the instrument. We ask you please wear a mask and gloves. Your instrument and bow must be presented in a case.
We will re-tune the instrument, align the bridge and soundpost at no cost, as well as checking over your instrument. We will speak to you if we find other issues. Our aim is to return your instrument to you in a few minutes. All instruments will be sanitized before being returned to their cases.
If your instrument needs new strings or has other problems we will consult you with the cost of repair. If repairs cannot be done on the spot we will give you a loaner and an estimated time for pickup.
Music is life and hope, and we look forward to the return of carefree days without worrying about Covid-19. Until that happy time, we are planning for the day we can re-open in a safe and responsible manner that keeps everyone safe and happy. More on that soon!
