This violin made circa 1920s, is a prime example of a classic Markneukirchen violin. A small city in Saxony near the Czech Republic, Markneukirchen was known for over four centuries for producing high quality musical instruments. Dolling, was from a family that made violins in the late 1800s and early 1900s. This particular violin was made with high quality European tone wood, highly detailed antiquing and Italian oil varnish.  It was restored for superior tonal refinement.
