Guadagnini Copy Violin c. 1880
The Long Island Violin shop is pleased to present this beautiful late 19th century German instrument with a warm, buttery tone, reminiscent of a bygone era. Some of the best quality tonewood came from the Alpine regions of Germany and their luthiers were able to produce many fine instruments. This instrument is no exception.
Our expert luthiers painstakingly restored this old German instrument to ensure it would reach its maximum potential and the final results far exceeded their expectations! The tone is full and rich and strongly projects to fill our shop with sound. Although roughly 120 years old, this violin is structurally sound, shows now damage, and is a sight to behold. The amber yellow varnish is fully intact and nicely displays the grain of the top as well as the lovely flame of the two piece back.
This instrument is outfitted with ebony fittings and Thomastik-Infeld Rondo Strings.
