This fine instrument is a violin made by Mira Gruszow, a talented maker trained at the Cremona Violin Making School. She currently has a workshop in Berlin but made this instrument while living in Quebec. Ms. Gruszow often gives her instruments nicknames. This one is nickname "Halva" after the popular confection served across the Middle East. This particular instrument has a well balanced tone and a lot of depth to its sound. It would be a great instrument for an advanced or conservatory student. Stop by The Long Island Violin Shop to give it a try.
