Heinrich Theodore Heberlein, Jr Violin, 1927

$ 5,500.00 Regular price $ 6,020.00

Heinrich Theodore Heberlein, Jr was born in Germany in 1843 and began his career as a violinmaker studying under his father, Carl August Heberlein.  He is known for his beautiful varnish, clear tone, and craftsmanship of his instruments. Heberlein opened his own shop in Markneukirchen, Germany in 1863, which is where this violin was made over 100 years ago.  The instrument is in excellent condition.  The orange amber varnish on the medium grain top is a fine example of his work. Two-piece back with attractive flame.

This instrument has been tonally adjusted in our workshop, features all ebony fittings and is based on the Strad pattern.
