📸Show Us Your Tags!

Whether you’re heading to the beach, performing at a holiday recital, or just hanging out in the backyard, we want to see where your musical journey takes you and our tags this year. 

We are officially launching our LIVS Photo Contest, and we want you to be creative!  

The Challenge:
Snap a photo of your summer fun, vacation adventures, holiday parties, beautiful landscapes, or even a classic portrait—just make sure to include a Long Island Violin Shop Orange Tag in the shot!

No purchase necessary!  Come into any of our shops and ask for a tag!

Friendly Reminder: Please do not remove the inventory tags from your rental instruments. Use the extra tag provided at the time of rental or just ask us for a fresh one!

The Prizes:
The Grand Prize:

$100 Gift Card and a basket of musical goodies to the photographer of the Best Overall Photo!

The LIVS Prize Committee will select ten finalist photos, and the entire LIVS team will vote by secret ballot to select the overall winner.  Five more of you will receive $25 gift cards for the following categories.

Most Creative Use of the Tag: For the person who doesn’t just hold the tag, but makes it part of the scene, parasail with your tag, hang it off a belt loop climbing Mount Everest, mount it to the nose of your bobsled on the bobsled run at Lake Placid.  Be different!

Globetrotter Award: Greatest distance a tag has been from the shop.  Show us your tags at the Pyramids, the Grand Canyon, the Great Barrier Reef, the Great Wall of China!

History in Harmony Award: Best photo with an iconic landmark, Mount Rushmore, The Eiffel Tower, The Taj Mahal! 

The Homebody Award: The best photo taken anywhere in Nassau or Suffolk County. Beaches, Parks, Pizza, we got it all right here at home!

The Gangs all Here Award: Get your friends or family in the frame with the tag, gathered around the Christmas Tree, Thanksgiving table, a wedding or a family reunion BBQ.

The LIVS may share some as they come in but we will keep your identity a secret until the end of the contest. Winning photographs will be posted in our shop and in the newsletter.  Winners will be credited. 

All entries must be submitted by December 31, 2026, 11:59PM. 

You must be 18 years old or older to enter.  AI generated images are not allowed. Photographers will be credited when the photos are used. Entrant retains copyright ownership but grants The Long Island Violin Shop a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to edit, use, reproduce, publish, display, adapt, and distribute the image in any media.

We can’t wait to see where those orange tags pop up.
