If you are looking for Violin Lessons for your child, I could not speak highly enough of Marissa at The Long Island Violin Shop. My son Holden, who's 6, and homeschooled, out of nowhere expressed interest in learning Violin. Marissa is the most patient, encouraging instructor, even when Holden is excited and and easily distracted. She is so in tune with building his confidence, she is not afraid to challenge him and yet very intuitive and knows when to pull back depending on where he is landing. I feel so comfortable letting her know where he is at at home, and her attentiveness and professionalism actually makes my son feel bad when he does not practice. Knowing that a musician of her caliber is so willing to wait out distractions and video game conversations with a child just so he knows that she believes in him - it's special. We are so happy that we found Marissa, and highly recommend her as an instructor.
